UCLA Extension Budget & Financial Services has developed a series of Financial Literacy training modules designed to provide Extension staff at all levels of the organization a greater understanding of accounting and finance terms, concepts, and tools which are fundamental to effective financial management and transaction processing.
Financial Literacy Training Course
This course includes the following training modules and is accessible via Canvas. Modules can be completed in any order and none require prior accounting training or knowledge.

All modules in this course are asynchronous and self-paced. And while some folks - depending on their role in the organization - may be required to complete certain modules, all staff are encouraged to participate in some or all of the training modules according to their needs and interests.

Access to the Extension Financial Literacy Training course in Canvas should be made available to all Extension staff upon hire.

Additional Training
In addition, the University of California and UCLA offer additional training in a variety of subject areas staff may wish to explore to expand their skills and understanding of important UC policies, systems, and best practices.
