When a University of California (UC) campus department or entity wishes to sponsor course enrollment with UCLA Extension, an Intercampus Recharge must be submitted.
UC faculty, staff, and students who wish to enroll in Extension courses using university or extramural funding should work with their department's business office to initiate enrollment and payment via this form.
Completing the Intercampus Recharge Form
- Originating Department: the department sponsoring enrollment
- Dept. Code: the sponsoring department's unique, numerical identifier
- Prepared By: name of representative completing the intercampus recharge form
- Telephone Ext: enter complete telephone number of representative completing the form
- Signature: signature and email address of authorizing party to process intercampus recharge
- Description of Goods and Services Being Recharged: please include the student's name, UCLA Extension ID number*, course name and six-digit REG number**
a. Quantity: should be listed as "1" per course enrollment. Please list each course enrollment on its own line.
b. Approved Rate: enter the cost of the course
c. Total: approved rate, less any applicable discount(s)
d. Total Recharge: the total amount to be recharged, including all course enrollments and fees, if applicable
Lastly, please complete the full accounting unit (FAU), noting the initiating UC's location code, account number, cost center, fund number, and all other FAU information necessary to correctly process the transaction.
Once all fields are complete, please submit the completed file to billing@unex.ucla.edu. UCLA Extension BFS will review and prepare the Intercampus Recharge and submit for enrollment. If there are any issues, UCLA Extension BFS will provide a reply with necessary information and/or correction requests.
The student will receive an automated confirmation email from our enrollment system once their enrollment has been finalized (typically within 1 to 2 business days of receipt of completed Intercampus Recharge form, but may be longer during heavy enrollment periods).
* Students who do not yet have a UCLA Extension ID number can create one using our student web portal.
** Course registration (REG) numbers are listed on individual course information pages on the UCLA Extension website.
